We know Barack Obama and he’s no Ronald Reagan

Stop, please stop, you’re embarrassing yourself Time Magazine:

I told you before - as have others - that Barack Obama in the attempt to salvage his failing presidency would attempt to move center. Time Magazine would have us believe that he now hearts Ronald Reagan in order to mimmick his style of leadership.

Like night and day, like summer and winter, there are absolutely NO similarities between Reagan and Obama, not a one. Obama is closer to Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Noam Chomsky than Reagan. Nothing in his 20 years of public life give any indication that he even comes close to any system of belief near conservatism.

Indeed his hallmark trophy, Obamacare was soundly denounced by Reagan over 50 years ago.

If Obama truly believes as Reagan did, they he will be happy to join us conservatives in repealing his healthcare law. Until then, don’t bother Time Magazine.

Word to Huffington Puffington Post, Frisk’s Opinion on Repeal means Nada

You know it’s desperation when the Huffington Post quotes former GOP Senate leader Bill Frist.

“WASHINGTON — As congressional Republicans ready themselves for a largely symbolic effort to repeal President Obama’s health care reform law, at least one former GOP leader is urging them to drop the charade and build on the legislation instead.

Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, who caused a stir during the construction of health care reform when he said he’d vote for the bill, said it was important to consider the bill the “law of the land” and move on from there.”

Well there’s the reason Frist isn’t leading squat in the GOP now. RINO he was while the Senate leader, this opinion isn’t surprising. So nice try Huffington Puffington Post, we’ll continue the repeal efforts.

Support for Healthcare Repeal Plummets? Not so Fast AP

Another release on the holiday thinking that no one is paying attention.

“Public support for repealing last year’s sweeping health care reform law has fallen dramatically in the aftermath of a shooting rampage in Arizona that critically injured a Democratic congresswoman.

Only one in four Americans said they support full repeal of the reforms, according to a newly-released Associated Press-GfK poll, and 30 percent strongly opposed the law, the lowest figure since September 2009.

The drop is particularly notable among Republicans. Forty-nine percent said they’re against the law, down considerably from 61 percent after the elections.

A survey by Gallup found that on Jan. 7, one day before the shootings, Americans supported repeal by a margin of 46 to 40 percent.”

Which tells you to dig deeper. Polls simply don’t shift that dramatically unless there are some shenanigans in the methodology. It didn’t take much Googling to get to the bottom of this.

The AP partners with GfK Roper Public Affairs & Corporate Communications for this drivel. Gfk, is a German Company financed in part from - you guessed it - George Soros - funded agencies.

Additionally Gfk has extensive interest in the heathcare industry and thus an interest in pushing back against reform.

LMAO - Now Democrats Want Civility?

democratic_sealHilarious.

“The Republican National Committee has rejected a proposal from its Democratic counterpart to sign a joint “civility” statement, POLITICO has learned.

Various members of the DNC — including Chairman Tim Kaine, Executive Director Jen O’Malley Dillon and Communications Director Brad Woodhouse — contacted their respective RNC counterparts this week in hopes of getting RNC Chairman Michael Steele to co-sign a document with Kaine that, in part, called for “elected officials of both parties to set an example of the civility we want to see in our citizenry.”

“We also call on all Americans to respect differences of opinion, to refrain from inappropriate forms of intimidation, to reject violence and vandalism, and to scale back rhetoric that might reasonably be misinterpreted by those prone to such behavior,” read the proposed joint statement, which came at the end of a week that saw acts of vandalism and threats of violence directed at members of Congress from both parties, but mostly aimed at Democrats who voted yes on the health care bill.”

What they want is us to shut up and stop demanding answers and asking questions. To them questioning the “messiah” on his healthcare for the masses is “intimidation”. I wonder where Kaine, O’Malley and Woodhouse were at during the last decade when Harry Reid called President Bush a “loser”, declared the Iraq War lost, or when “Greatest Woman of the Last 100 Years” called Bush a “total failure” and our CIA ops “liars”?

You see that “civility” wasn’t necessary, indeed Pelosi called “acting up” an “act of patriotism”.

Got news for the DNC, they haven’t seen anything yet.

Democrats Run the “Sympathy” Line “Conservatives are Threatening Us!”

Gotta love it. These are the same types that laughed when people made Bush assasination movies and mused about Dick Cheney getting shot. Now they’re scared because after ramming their will down the American public’s throat the public is ramming back. Chief culprit of takeover Steny Hoyer wants Republicans to knock it off.

“House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer is warning that some of his Democratic colleagues are being threatened with violence when they go back to their districts — and he wants Republicans to stand up and condemn the threats.

The Maryland Democrat said more than 10 House Democrats have reported incidents of threats or other forms of harassment about their support of the highly divisive health insurance overhaul vote. Hoyer emphasized that he didn’t have a specific number of threats and that was just an estimate.”

No one advocates violence against elected officials, but Steny this is what you get when you trample on the rights of Americans. When you’re people talk about “controlling” them they get mad. Just as our founding fathers got mad and nasty when they sought freedom from tyranny.

Democrats fired the first shots here and it seems that the American public will fire the last. Hopefully this is at the ballot box in November and in 2012. Tonight all three networks led off with how the debate about Obamacare is turning “nasty” and “ugly” because the public mood about having Uncle Sam giving them the finger up the wazoo is making them mad.

Again, we don’t need violence, it hurts the cause, but we didn’t start the fire.
