Andrew Beacham isn’t a “Tea Party Leader”

The press gets more desperate by the day. I know Andrew Beacham. He’s not a Tea Party Leader or activist. He is a Christian and has frequently posted throughout the internet for years. I’ve never seen him post anything out of the ordinary and in fact many of his posts have been quite peaceful and encouraging.

But he’s not a leader in the Tea Party in Indiana. He’s not listed on the Indiana Tea Party Patriots site at all, leadership or otherwise.

Fareed Zakaria, “We Over Reacted to 9/11″

Fareed Zakaria, the terrorist loving journalist that he is, claims we over reacted to 9/11.

“Nine years after 9/11, can anyone doubt that Al Qaeda is simply not that deadly a threat? Since that gruesome day in 2001, once governments everywhere began serious countermeasures, Osama bin Laden’s terror network has been unable to launch a single major attack on high-value targets in the United States and Europe. While it has inspired a few much smaller attacks by local jihadis, it has been unable to execute a single one itself. Today, Al Qaeda’s best hope is to find a troubled young man who has been radicalized over the Internet, and teach him to stuff his underwear with explosives.

I do not minimize Al Qaeda’s intentions, which are barbaric. I question its capabilities. In every recent conflict, the United States has been right about the evil intentions of its adversaries but massively exaggerated their strength. In the 1980s, we thought the Soviet Union was expanding its power and influence when it was on the verge of economic and political bankruptcy. In the 1990s, we were certain that Saddam Hussein had a nuclear arsenal. In fact, his factories could barely make soap.”

Yada, yada, yada. Same old crap we’ve been hearing from the anti Bush crowd for years. I think that Newsweek would be suffering enough readership problems without letting El Zakaria a moment at the keybord. That he cites notable leakers and freakers Dana Priest and William Arkin and that Larry Johnson gives him a high five tells you all you need to know. Perhaps that’s the point to get links and readers by pissing them off.

Of course is simply no defense of this drivel, but it’s typical for Zakaria. Using a lame argument that the lack of acts means no activity. There were plenty of gaps throughout the 90s that led to 9/11, but I digress into facts.

Quite frankly our reaction to 9/11 was stellar by that Zakaria’s reasoning. Nine years without an attack? Had we taken the Zakaria approach we may have seen an attack every 3-4 years perhaps earlier. But then it would have been no big thing as these would have been “Troubled young men who have been radicalized over the Internet” with bulging underwear.

What pisses the Zakaria’s of the world off is just how successful our “over reaction” was.

It’s little wonder this doof’s CNN show is near to being wacked by CNN because it’s ratings suck. Except of course in the middle east where I’m sure Bin Laden has it pipped into his cave to enjoy while reading his Newsweak.

9/11 Families Stunned by Presidents Support of Mosque at Ground Zero

New York, NY, Aug. 14 — Barack Obama has abandoned America at the place where America’s heart was broken nine years ago, and where her true values were on display for all to see. Since that dark day, Americans have been asked to bear the burden of defending those values, again and again and again. Now this president declares that the victims of 9/11 and their families must bear another burden. We must stand silent at the last place in America where 9/11 is still remembered with reverence or risk being called religious bigots.

Muslims have worshipped in New York without incident both before and after the attacks of 9/11. This controversy is not about religious freedom. 9/11 was more than a “deeply traumatic event,” it was an act of war. Building a 15-story mosque at Ground Zero is a deliberately provocative act that will precipitate more bloodshed in the name of Allah. Those who continue to target and kill American civilians and U.S. troops will see it as a symbol of their historic progress at the site of their most bloody victory. Demolishing a building that was damaged by wreckage from one of the hijacked planes in order to build a mosque and Islamic Center will further energize those who regard it as a ratification of their violent and divinely ordered mission: the spread of shariah law and its subjugation of all free people, including secular Muslims who come to this country fleeing that medieval ideology, which destroys lives and crushes the human spirit.

We are stunned by the president’s willingness to disregard what Americans should be proud of: our enduring generosity to others on 9/11–a day when human decency triumphed over human depravity. On that day, when 3,000 of our fellow human beings were killed in barbaric act of raw religious intolerance unlike this country had ever seen, Americans did not turn outward with hatred or violence, we turned to each other, armed with nothing more than American flags and countless acts of kindness. In a breathtakingly inappropriate setting, the president has chosen to declare our memories of 9/11 obsolete and the sanctity of Ground Zero finished. No one who has lived this history and felt the sting of our country’s loss that day can truly believe that putting our families through more wrenching heartache can be an act of peace.

We will honor the memory of our loved ones. We will protect our children, whose lives will never be the same. We will not stand silent

Daily Kos Blogger: Reaction to 9/11 “Out of Proportion”

Unbelievable, but standard for the type of ignorance we’ve seen over the years at the Daily Kos:

“Given that they are such a small minority in this nation, it is odd that so many of our fellow citizens see them as such a threat. Yes, the 9/11 attacks were horrific, but they were more about optics than actual harm. The economy was already taking a hit before the Twin Towers fell. The reaction of the nation to seeing two major buildings in New York fall on T.V. has boosted the attack out of proportion. While the loss of even a single life is to be condemned and the devastation these deaths caused the families of those killed, more than this number of teens are killed every year in car crashes. These are also tragic losses but we do not make the kind of high profile issue of it that the 9/11 attacks are.”

The blogger that posted this at the Kos goes by the name of “Something the Dog Said”, which pretty much explains everything you need to know.

DOJ Clears Bush Lawyers of Wrong Doing

Well now.

“For weeks, the right has heckled Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. for his plans to try the alleged 9/11 conspirators in New York City and his handling of the Christmas bombing plot suspect. Now the left is going to be upset: an upcoming Justice Department report from its ethics-watchdog unit, the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), clears the Bush administration lawyers who authored the “torture” memos of professional-misconduct allegations.

While the probe is sharply critical of the legal reasoning used to justify waterboarding and other “enhanced” interrogation techniques, NEWSWEEK has learned that a senior Justice official who did the final review of the report softened an earlier OPR finding. Previously, the report concluded that two key authors—Jay Bybee, now a federal appellate court judge, and John Yoo, now a law professor—violated their professional obligations as lawyers when they crafted a crucial 2002 memo approving the use of harsh tactics, say two Justice sources who asked for anonymity discussing an internal matter. But the reviewer, career veteran David Margolis, downgraded that assessment to say they showed “poor judgment,” say the sources. (Under department rules, poor judgment does not constitute professional misconduct.) The shift is significant: the original finding would have triggered a referral to state bar associations for potential disciplinary action—which, in Bybee’s case, could have led to an impeachment inquiry.”

This of course was never going anywhere anyway. Why? Simply because Obama’s lawyers are - in light of continued attacks - most likely giving him some of the same guiding on interrogation techniques. As I said before in spite of what Obama says, and supposedly outlawed, internal memos and guidance on interrogation remains intact. In other words little has changed. Yeah they don’t waterboard, but then that was the exception more than the rule.

The big story here is how this will completely unhinge the left and their remaining support of Obama. Being that this got released in the Friday news dump the “outrage” should kick off by monday.
