This is hilarious and show that if there were a license for blogging, some should get it revoked. Case in example, Think Progress (That George Soros Place), is trying to show inconsistancy in John McCain’s visit to Baghdad.
“Sen. John McCain strolled briefly through an open-air market in Baghdad today in an effort to prove that Americans are ‚Äúnot getting the full picture‚Äù of what‚Äôs going on in Iraq.
NBC‚Äôs Nightly News provided further details about McCain‚Äôs one-hour guided tour. He was accompanied by ‚Äú100 American soldiers, with three Blackhawk helicopters, and two Apache gunships overhead.‚Äù Still photographs provided by the military to NBC News seemed to show McCain wearing a bulletproof vest during his visit.”
Forget the fact that he wasn’t wearing a helmut, but the fact is that the extra security was SOP for visiting dignitaries and NOT indicative of any particular security concerns.
Pesky facts I know, but I always like to help.
