Ready for more circus antics from Twittle Dum and Twittle Do Less?
“Majority Democrats in the Senate are forcing their Republican colleagues on the record about whether embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales should keep his job.
No one is predicting that a symbolic resolution expressing no confidence in Gonzales will survive even the test vote Monday. Most Republicans are likely to vote no, dismissing the whole exercise as a ploy to embarrass President Bush.
At a news conference in Sofia, Bulgaria, the last stop on a weeklong visit to Europe, the president reaffirmed his support for Gonzales, a longtime friend and legal adviser.
“They can have their votes of no-confidence but it’s not going to make the determination about who serves in my government,” Bush said Monday. “This process has been drug out a long time. … It’s political.”
Schumer (who remember has a decided conflict of interest and more than a little behind the doors dealings with James Comey), is pissed that his little charade of removing Gonzales to get “his boy” McNulty in didn’t work. After wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars of tax payer money in this witch hunt comes up empty, proving – NADA.
So count this as tantamount to a temper tantrum. Go ahead and picture Schumer and Leahy holding their collective breaths until they turn blue.
That about sums it up!
UPDATE: As expected vote failed. One has to wonder – really wonder why Schumer is so bent on getting Gonzales out of there. Inquiring minds are going to dig deeper.
UPDATE II:
Crittenden just calls the whole enchilada “lame”.

Jesus ask:
Mar 5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying,
My name is Legion: for we are many.

2He should turn the same sort of spotlight on his own operations(Steele’s credit record theft, i.e.) and that of his wife(the ferry accident in NYC)…and he’d see a great deal more to censure.
