This is hardly worth the time, but in the latest example of lefty PDS, Stefan Sirucek, of the Huffington Puffington Post takes issue with Sarah Palin having notes on her hand during a speech.
“Closer inspection of a photo of Sarah Palin, during a speech in which she mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter, reveals several notes written on her left hand. The words “Energy”, “Tax” and “Lift American Spirits” are clearly visible. There’s also what appears to read as “Budget cuts” with the word Budget crossed out….
Just to be clear: The notes most likely weren’t for her speech, for which she used prepared remarks, but for the Q&A session that followed, during which she glanced at the hand in question.
But in my opinion that’s even worse.
There were no specifics on there, just general concepts and things she supports.
The takeaway is that this presidential contender apparently can’t remember her supposed core principles and needs a cheat-sheet when simply asked about her beliefs.”
Here’s the photo that has Sirucek rubbing himself.
Of course freaking doofus’s like Sirucek point fingers instead of checking a little history and some easy to find facts.
A few others who have used the hand method.
Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Dan Rather, Tony Robbins, and even Dan Rather, among many, many others.
Having been a successful public speaker for over 20 years as well as teaching others about the craft, writing notes on your hand is, well, something I teach, handy, and very common.Oh, and to those who say that she would then have no reason to criticized Obama for his teleprompter reading?
No dice.
Some more facts. Palin has spoken many, many times and there is no evidence she had anything written on her hand every time she speaks. That means that she RARELY needs notes, and rarely needs a cheat sheet.
Obama on the other hand rarely speaks without a teleprompter, in fact he travels with one. Which means he always needs a cheat sheet to spell out his beliefs and convictions.
