I can't believe it. The Republicans have finally decided to play the game like their opposition has being doing for years. I certainly hope this is the beginning of a "No more mr. Nice guy." game plan which has left Republicans looking like inept rubes while the Dems have run circles around them protecting their crooks, thieves, child molesters, perverts and any other kind of unscrupulous character by circling their wagons and standing in unity to block investigations and prosecutions. Now lets see if the Republicans can get on the ball and demand an thorough investigtion of Harry Reid's questionable Real estate deals, Sandy Burglar's thefts from the National archives, and maybe the big land transfers (swaps) from TVA and Clinton's land grabs, ala the Escalente Natl. Monument, etc, to favored insiders in exchange for "environmentally sensitive" (read that good for nothing) land. Since Algore embedded Clintonista loyalists into sensitive positions during his Reinventing Govt. Scheme, just how many of these imbedded Clintonistas control who gets what and under what circumstances? Algore's Occidental Petroleum got the Teapot Dome oil reserves which had been off limits since the 1920's scandal.Just how many other national treasures have been traded or sold off? We know Bill Clinton sold our military secrets and our manufacturing base to China. He even had a Chinese Intelligence Agent with top secret security clearance in the Commerce Dept who transferred the entire contents of our patent office to China over the internet. Maybe the Republicans can get something going now that they are in the minority. Goodness knows they didn't do anything about cleaning out the trash when they were in the majority.

I had the same reaction to this article as you did.

I had a neighbor once whose toddler was very sick with respiratory problems, but she couldn't afford to take him to the doctor all the time. When he developed pneumonia, I finally stepped in and called my family doc and he said to tell her to bring the child in and they'd figure out the money later. I think my gesture shamed her because she took him to her own doctor.

My daughter didn't have any insurance for 10 years, and part of that time she worked in a hospital. She was also putting herself through college then (BS in nursing). She required 2 biopsies during this time, plus several other visits. And she's asthmatic. She was finally covered when she got married. Someone asked her how she ever managed without ins. She said that she made very healthy choices in her life: no drinking or drugs; plenty of rest; healthy foods; plenty of exercise. Plus, she watched every single penny.
