Powell got his nose out of joint when the "Powell Doctrine" of 'overwhelming force' was nixed for 'smaller, swifter, quicker responding,' and he clearly didn't like being voted down by other military opinions. But he was not there for his military advice, he was there as Sec of State. All respect, and I had a large amount of respect for him, evaporated when it became clear his Ass't or Deputy at State was the Plame leak, and that both Powell and his henchman stood mute for three years while the Administration was crashing and burning because of THEIR duplicity. Both Powell and Armitage apparently are brown-nosing around McCain in expectation of career paybacks. A pox on all of their houses. This one made me ill.
