Save me the Iraq wasn’t involved in 9/11, that’s not the issue.
(Al Qaeda was in every other middle east country but not Iraq….Right!) Someday I’ll tell you a little story about that farse, from personal experience.
But what we witnessed on a day like today, the 6th anniversary of 9/11 during the Senate ass-clown circus, it disgraced not only General Patraeus, but every troop who has given their life as well as the 3000 who died on that day.
All we saw today was a parade of idiots, most of whom – God help us – are running for President.
However, one Senator, retiring (thank God) John Warner asked the stupid question of the day – “Is the war making America safer?”
“I hope in the recesses of your heart that you know that strategy will continue the casualties, stress on our forces, stress on military families, stress on all Americans. Are you able to say at this time, if we continue what you have laid before the Congress, this strategy, that if you continue, you are making America safer?”
Warner must be slipping fast – he is 80 after all. I hate to be so callous but the fact is that on a day when we have celebrated six years without an attack on this soil he asks if America is safer?
How many years did we go in the 80s or even the 90s without a terrorist attack on the US?
I’ll help the Senator – it’s a lot less than than six. It’s a good thing he’s stepping down. I love it when reserve wankers ask us such questions. Take a bow senator, you just got the Jack Ass of the Month Award (New) from Macsmind.
Nevertheless watching our elected leadership with few exceptions show they’re collective ass this week, I’ve only one thing to say.
My God we’re asking for it.

1It was nothing but a FREAK SHOW in the senate today. Those rat senators should be ashamed of their selves. They don’t know it but they made complete FOOLS of their selves. Most of the Republican Senators acted honorable.
We are blessed to have men like General Petreaus, Ambassador Crocker, President Bush, V. President Cheney.
In the Bible Codes there have been found names of leaders of governments that were a part of 911. Our government has kept it classified however they know who. One was Saddamn, Libya Leader: Muammar Abu Minyar al-QADHAFI, Iranian Leaders and others…

6I watched both days and probably didn’t miss over a half hour. I wanted to know who said what and what the Gen & Amb had to say.
The Dems fit their profile….they do not have the guts to fight a big cockroach, much less an enemy of the USA. But I might disagree with shield over the Pugs (as a group). Some were outstanding with special mention going to Cornyn, Graham, Sessions and Inhofe. Several others would have been great but they had to add their little ‘disclaimer’, BDS, or give themselves a pat on the back for some of the hell they raised constantly.
I am glad Mac did this on Warner….good riddance. I admired this man for many years but watched him slide over the last few years. I don’t know if it is his age or just pure BDS. What I have watched, I concluded the latter. Levin must be a happy man.
The article by James Lewis is so GOOD. I wish this could get to the masses. It explains so that the average joe, that does not pay any attention to politics, might have an attitude adjustment. It is so good it would compete with the MSM. The absolute best I have seen that explains Iraq. Shame Bush could not just read it on TV. Ha.

8Strongly disagree with you on this:
“…the Senate ass-clown circus…disgraced not only General Patraeus, but every troop who has given their life as well as the 3000 who died on that day.”
On the contrary; the Senators only disgraced themselves–and they did a splendid job of it too. Practice certainly makes perfect.
