And with a heavily weighted Dem/Ind sample no less.
“WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama faces growing concerns among voters over government spending, the auto industry bailout and other economic policies, according to two opinion polls released on Wednesday.
Obama, who took office in January, remains popular with Americans, although his overall job approval rating slipped to 56 percent, down 5 points from April, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
But 58 percent of respondents said Obama and Congress should focus on keeping the budget deficit down, even if takes longer for the economy to recover. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the federal deficit could top $1.8 trillion this fiscal year — by far a record.”
To remind, it was only 500+ billion when Bush left office. Subsequently, “the problem we inherited” line is false. It’s Obama’s baby now and the public is sniffing the coffee.

1Eventually Americans are going to have to admit that Mr. HopeyChange doesn’t have all the answers. He doesn’t have any of them, really.
The media, which has decided that Obama is “too big to fail” can only cover for him for so long. When Americans continue to feel Obama’s failures in their wallets, they will turn on him and when that happens, and the media is seen as nothing but an Obama mouth piece (that is happening now) the media will turn on Obama with a vegenence from hell to save themselves. The media is like a fickle lover. Once Obama stops selling newspapers, raking in viewers or putting their slicks on the supermarket racks, he will be as dead to them as one of Rahm Emanuel’s fish.
