<a href="http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm?headline=s2i46788" rel="nofollow"> This just in...</a>

<blockquote>
WASHINGTON D.C. Using a series of Executive orders, President Barack Obama has renamed the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and fundamentally changed its mission. The new organization will be known as the Radio Enforcement Agency and will be headed by Air America talk radio host Rachel Maddow.

Explaining the function of the renamed paramilitary agency, the President said, "The REA will be the enforcement arm of the Federal Communications Commission, and will ensure compliance with the Fairness Doctrine, which was reinstated the afternoon of my inauguration.

President Obama went on to list several networks, along with a number of syndicated radio programs and their hosts who had been on "Double Secret Probation" since the doctrine was reinstated, according to acting FCC Chairman Keith Olbermann.
</blockquote>

The Fuhrer is an idiot, besides being a small and petty man. This elevates Rush and lowers him. Fine by me. This is all too sweet after Rush had a private birthday lunch with W.

Can't wait to hear Rush respond tomorrow (yeah, I read Byron York's weekend Rush reply).

Frankly, I think Obama has now undermined the ability of any defense of a possible return of the "Fairness Doctrine". By going after Rush Limbaugh, Obama has now focused with specificity a "laser beam" on Rush Limbaugh.

I seem to recall a tiff starting in 1988 involving the Boston Herald, then owned by R Murdoch, being critical of Sen. Kennedy and the Kennedy slipping an amendment into legislation to force the sale of Murdoch holdings including a Boston TV station and the New York Post. Kennedy had bragged that this was a hit job on Murdoch and eventually the SCOTUS agreed, striking down the amendment because it targeted an individual with the specificity a "laser beam", a practice specially prohibited by the US Constitution.

Obama's signaling of personal attacks on Limbaugh will provide plenty of room to use the same defense against any legislation involving the reinstatement of the "Fairness Doctrine" as a method of pushing Limbaugh off the air.

Every man who ever holds the office of POTUS should have confidence. The American people expect him to be confident and give them confidence. This is not confidence on Obama's part, it is pure arrogance. It is nothing more than the actions of an Alinsky trained street thug who is letting everyone know that He, not them, holds the biggest club in the school yard. We have gone from a bully pulpit to bully tactics.

Take a look at his predecessors; Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43. All had problems with the media and commentators. Did they single those people out? No. During Clinton's term of trouble, did he single out any one person in the press or did he talk of the press in general terms? Did any of those previous presidents immediately (within a day) start slamming their predecessors on the new White House website? No.

So now we have a president who has laid down the rules that everyone needs to abide by because he "won". That is not confidence, that is pure arrogance. The arrogance of a cheap street thug who knows he holds all the power. Add to that his cheap shot taken at the Politico reporter, a website that was so far in the tank for him that they had to use deep sea diving air tanks, and he is setting himself up for a very, VERY short honeymoon. Someone better advise him that the press can make a president (Clinton) and they can damn sure take one down (Bush #43).

So here is the new policy; as Obama goes about the business of making us into another second rate socialist nation, he wants to make damn sure that no one objects. Fairness Doctrine, anyone? It should be interesting when Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews have to give equal time to those who can point out what idiots they are.

I wonder if Obama gave the same advise to Nazi Pelosi about having daily conversations with DailyKos and Huffington Post as he did to the Republicans about Rush Limbaugh. Somehow I doubt it. I am sure that Obama considers those bomb throwers "fair and balanced".

The inmates are now running the asylum.

WE ARE SCREWED.
