Just yesterday on The MacRanger Show I told you about Mr. Wonderful’s new snazzy website called “Change.gov“, and how it detailed his plan for Iraq.
However today, the page is GONE. Except for the Google Cache. In fact the entire plan under the tab “Agenda” is also gone, along with all the other planned agenda of the Obama Monarchy.
Here’s what was there on the agenda tab before it was removed:
No doubt somebody hit the post button too fast as just a cursory reading found more than a few eyebrow raising. After all the news inquiries yesterdays me thinks they “withdrew”. Speaking of which here was an interesting portion from the Obama/Biden Iraq plan.
So for posterity let’s recap the Iraq plan:
The interesting thing about this “plan” is how two faced it is. For instance.
“In 2002, as the conventional thinking in Washington lined up with President Bush for war, Obama had the judgment and courage to speak out against going to war, and to warn of βan occupation of undetermined length, with undetermined costs, and undetermined consequences.β He and Joe Biden are fully committed to ending the war in Iraq.”…
This doesn’t note the fact that Joe Biden was part of that conventional thinking on Iraq and had been for a long time before the war and in fact voted for the war. In 2005 Biden said of this type of withdrawal: “We can call it quits and withdraw from Iraq (but) I think that would be a gigantic mistake, or we can set a deadline for pulling out, which I fear will only encourage our enemies to wait us out–equally a mistake.”
“Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe we must be as careful getting out of Iraq as we were careless getting in. Immediately upon taking office, Obama will give his Secretary of Defense and military commanders a new mission in Iraq: ending the war. The removal of our troops will be responsible and phased, directed by military commanders on the ground and done in consultation with the Iraqi government. Military experts believe we can safely redeploy combat brigades from Iraq at a pace of 1 to 2 brigades a month that would remove them in 16 months. That would be the summer of 2010 β more than 7 years after the war began.”
Ok, nothing new here, the 16 month phased withdrawal was hashed out months ago. However, this will not make the Code Pinko crowd happy:
“Under the Obama-Biden plan, a residual force will remain in Iraq and in the region to conduct targeted counter-terrorism missions against al Qaeda in Iraq and to protect American diplomatic and civilian personnel. They will not build permanent bases in Iraq, but will continue efforts to train and support the Iraqi security forces as long as Iraqi leaders move toward political reconciliation and away from sectarianism.”
Well the fact is that bases have already been built, and soldiers training ISF personnel will have to stay somewhere, and that means logistical support – beans and bullets – thus, we will have a force in Iraq long past 2010.
As they say,….developing….
UPDATE: I’ve secured the cache of the agendas and it’s not wonder they have been removed. More to come in future posts as well as comparisons if and when the revised versions come up.
UPDATE: Via Gateway Pundit the *Change* began on Friday right after his news conference.
UPDATE: The Washington Times covers it as an “Exclusive“. Hardly that. Remember you heard it here first.

3Mac, ATTENTION;
Why does that website have a dotgov address, yet on the bottom is says that it is a 501(c)4 organization? Are we now paying for the One to have a way to rake in donations that are pretty well hidden from public view? (c)4′s do not have to report their donor lists.
Have you ever known of a government web site to accept donations other than for disaster relief?
If you think Obama and Biden are sitting in financial gravy now, just wait until after four years.
