Andrew Sullivan epitomizes the mindset of what a liberal loser is:

“I wish Levin (and many of his fellow “till the last dog dies” Iraq War backers) would clarify whether there’s any situation in which they would greet a U.S. defeat abroad with any response save a rote invocation of the stab-in-the-back narrative.”

That’s precisely the difference between conservatives and liberals.

In war you never admit defeat or sound retreat – it’s never in the mind of those who are the winners. Losing only occurs to those who are accustomed to pacifism and surrender as a political strategy. After all it’s what John Kerry ran on three years ago.

The left of course compares every war with Vietnam, which I might add was started by democrats and lost by democrats. Hell they even compare WWII to Vietnam except when they remember FDR was a democrat.

You see, liberals have to try and believe in winning, and even for the so-called “Blue Dog Democrats” this is hard. Lieberman seems to be an exception, yet by and large liberals don’t believe in war, so when they are in a war, they can’t by their very nature believe that there is any other option but to lose.

Jesus said that that a bad tree cannot help itself but bear bad fruit.

Conservatives believe in no other option but winning. I mean, why fight the damn thing in the first place if you’re not going to win? Ask a liberal and you’ll get a doe in the headlights look. “Whuuut?”

So when Reid calls for a cut and run he’s being true to his nature. Just as Murtha, Pelosi and the rest of the cut and run crowd. Subsequently when he and other democrats screamed “Hurrah! Let’s get Saddam” back in ’02, there was a tilt in the universe. I believe that year we experienced more than the usual amount of sunspots as well.
