The bureaucrat leakers are Democrats who wanted to advance their party’s interests, and the reporters at the New York Times and Washington Post were also Democrats, and were happy to oblige. The bottom line is that you just can’t get adequate information from these news sources. Their grotesque biases outweigh the resources that, in theory, they are able to devote to covering the news. They can’t even provide a balanced account of a single bureaucratic report, let alone of a war.

They leaked it, and are using it----that's what they do. But I am sick of the military types pretending that there is only one way to conduct this war to be successful and it is their way, so Rummy is just stupid. Any body knows that there are probably 10 ways to do a complicated job and they could turn out equally difficult. These guys are military and just so despicable. Think of how honourably so many are serving. These guys are such loosers. They don't have to make the final choice or be responsible for the decision, they can just sit around and pretend that they are important. No wonder they are retired--they were finished years ago.
