The AP and the rest of the Obama Apologetic lapdog press claim it’s “incorrect” to believe Obama is a muslim, claiming empthatically that he is a Christian. But where is the proof? So let’s examine this claim in a sort of “fact check”.
Prior to 2008 Barack Obama spent 20 years in the Church of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, thus he’s a “Christian”.
Fact: Jeremiah Wright taught “Liberation Theology”. Vatican’s office for doctrinal orthodoxy has faulted Liberation Theology as
“correctable“, thus lacking appropriate doctrine which would qualify it as true to the Gospel of Christ.
Simple to the point, Liberation Theology is an aberration of Christianity, thus a cult.
Glenn Beck did an excellent exposé on this a few years ago.
Now Obama bailed out of Wright’s Church when his relationship was exposed. But he once claimed that American was no longer a Christian Nation:
… and ridiculed the Word of God.
In an article titled, Is Barack Obama a Christian Examining President Obama’s Religious Beliefs, we find this troubling example that shows Barack Obama could not possibly be a Christian.
In a 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani of The Chicago Sun-Times, then-U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obama said: “I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people,” (Interview with Cathleen Falsani, The Chicago Sun-Times, March 27, 2004).
No Christian, true Christian could say that there are “many paths”, when Christ clearly taught there was only ONE way to God and it was through him. This is a non-negotiable in the Christian faith.
Again, being in a bagel shop doesn’t make one a bagel. I’m not God and can’t judge Obama’s heart. But I can – and Christians are told to do so – examine his life, words and fruit.
It’s in these things that the doubts remain. Sure on occasion Obama has spoken as one who knows the Gospel, but then he speaks of equal knowledge of the Koran. The Devil is a better theologian than any man but he’s still the devil Remember he quoted chapter and verse in to Jesus in the desert. James said that even the devils believe in God, but that doesn’t make them Christian.
Just too many questions, and until they are solved, let’s not be so hasty in saying that the issue of Obama’s faith are so clear.
