Crosspatch, does that line that you say they are getting into stretch across the seas? Because if they are already here working and some poor slob is waiting in Bosnia to come legally, how are they in line? They have jumped the line, not gotten in line.

This bill not only makes legal the 12 million already here (Border Patrol estimates are over 20 million) but allows for another 400,000 that will fade into society once their work permits are up.

Stupidy is doing the same failed thing over again (as in 1986) and thinking it will work this time.

I know this is going to be a divisive issue but I have no problem whatsoever with a guest worker program. We need to get these people registered and know who we have here in this country and I am specifically concerned with the 6 million illegals who DIDN'T come across the Mexican border. As far as I can tell, this gives them only a legal worker status, not permanent resident status. For that, they will need to get in line with the other immigrants.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with that.
