Get ready, just a baby step before tossing all those tax breaks for individuals (as if).
“Bowing to widespread Democratic skepticism, President-elect Barack Obama will drop his bid to include a business tax break he once touted in the economic stimulus bill now taking shape on Capitol Hill, aides said last night.
Obama suggested the $3,000-per-job credit last week as one of five individual and business tax incentives aimed at winning Republican support. He proposed $300 billion in tax relief in a bill that could reach $775 billion, and he resurrected the jobs-credit proposal from the campaign trail as one of his main provisions.
Republicans reacted favorably to the higher-than-expected ratio of tax breaks to spending for road projects, alternative energy production, health-care technology and unemployment benefits. But they offered mixed reviews of his specific tax proposals and floated their own, including cuts in corporate and capital gains taxes.
Stronger opposition came from Democrats, who dismissed the $3,000 credit to employers for every job created or saved as ripe for abuse and difficult to administer. When no champion for the proposal came forward, the president-elect decided to sideline the incentive.

And so it it will go with every promise, as it’s been his pattern.
“The idea was never set in stone”….
“Yeah, I know what I said, but ……..Hey, can I get back to my waffles?….
Here’s a theme song for the inaugural ball, the Bee-Jee’s …”Jive Talking”:
Its just your jive talkin
Youre telling me lies, yeah

1Now come on, Mac, you know the consumate wordsmith will be able to talk his way out of any problem. Just wait until the next international crisis. Radical Islam will be so impressed with him that they will just agree to stop trying to kill us and will lay down their weapons and alls start singing Kumbaya.
As to his promise to help businesses, well, golly gee, that was just a suggestive plan. After all, as a socialist he understands that all businesses are basically evil and greedy. He wants a kinder, gentler world where even his illegal aunt shares in the weath. And his new “climate” czar, with her strong socialist ties, will help level the playing field. Hell, in two years, we could be just as progressive, just as productive as say, Sudan.
Someone needs to start a “Obama’s Broken Promises” blog. Although I doubt anyone has 24/7s to donate that would be required to keep up with them.
Here is one question I have that maybe you can answer; when the rubber meets the road, and he is sitting in the leather chair in the Oval Office, will David Axelrod be able to continue with the myth that he has created in Obama? When tough choices face the White House, and they will very, very soon, I’m afraid, who will REALLY be making the decisions?
It seems that when left alone, like in interviews with that little weasel George Stuffanolopolis, he says one thing only to have his staff “retract” those statements.
So who was REALLY elected?
