Here in California one can be held for 72 hours (it is called a 5150) but one having been so held, even if released, is unable to purchase a firearm for 5 years.

I do not know one thing about the mail rooms at the networks but if this package was received yesterday was there a return address? If that address gave any clue that it had come from the murderer should they not have turned this over immediately to the authorities. I sure wish we could all see that wrapping from the package.

If I am reading the original article correctly (and it seems like double speak) they had time to consult with their legal staff and prepare commentary for this evenings news but it just now that the FBI and other law enforcement is reviewing this information.

Perhaps it is just a natural distrust I have developed for the “Big 3″ but something here just seems funny.
