Via MSNBC:
“About 35 people were injured, including at least seven critically, when a car plowed into a street festival in southeast Washington on Saturday.
Alan Etter, a spokesman for the District of Columbia fire department, said about 35 people were taken to area hospitals.
Etter said authorities believe the woman was going about 70 mph when she came through the Unifest festival at about 8 p.m. ET. The woman fled the scene and was caught about a block away, he said.”
According to other sources local authorities are calling it a “Mass Casulaty Incident”, which means the city emergency plan is in operation.
