Just out!

Via Big Hollywood:
“As Goldberg makes clear, the shame of the MSM during the presidential election wasn’t simply that they couldn’t mention Barack Obama’s name without swooning, although it did get awfully embarrassing. Giggly teenage girls at a Jonas Brothers concert behaved with more restraint than Chris Matthews.
Worse yet was the way the media kept anything negative about their Lochinvar under wraps. So it was that although Rolling Stone, as early as February, 2007, in a profile of Sen. Obama, wrote about his friend and religious mentor, the loony racist, Jeremiah Wright, the MSM totally ignored the connection until bloggers and Sean Hannity forced the issue. Even then, the media merely took its lead from Obama. When the candidate claimed that in 20 years, he’d never heard his minister say anything hateful about America or white people, they went along with it. When Obama dismissed Wright’s rants as sound bites taken out of context, that was good enough for the MSM. When Obama said that he would never turn his back on Wright, they praised him for his loyalty. Then, when Wright kept repeating those “sound bites” and Obama hurled his worthless carcass under the bus, the MSM praised him for his resolve.
When some people questioned how Obama could have sat in that cesspool of a church for a thousand Sundays, Obama said that anyone who would ask such a rude question was obviously a racist, knowing full well that the MSM, aka the amen corner, could be counted on not only to parrot his words, but to clap hands and shout “Hallelujah!”
If some of us began to confuse news stories about Obama with his campaign press releases, it’s because they were interchang
eable, although the press releases tended to be more restrained and, usually, better written.”
I will try to get Bernard on a future MacRanger Radio Show. In the meantime get a copy of this book. No doubt Bernard won’t get on Today or MSNBC, but then they don’t deserve his honest presence.
Many journalists have come forward in the last couple of months to announce how ashamed they are about the media’s lack of journalistic integrity in covering Barack Obama. Indeed one might say that 2008 was the year the MSM died. It actually has been dying a slow death all along.

1Mac, while he may not say it, Bernard Goldberg knows what I know; that the media, being trained in jouralism school that they should strive to be another Walter Cronkite, have finally gotten the far left, socialist presidential candidate they wanted. And they did what every it took, from trying to destroy Sarah Palin, to ignoring the number of 800 pound gorillas in the room in order to see him inaugurated.
But the media, in 2008, finally sold their souls, and their honor toward a profession that Americans have a right to trust. They failed us, and in so doing, failed the nation.
Ironically, and in spite of them, Obama won by a narrower margin than I thought he would, considering the pathetic campaign conducted by John McCain.
But eventually, when they are all facing the unemployment line and their publications are in D.C. with their hands out, these so-called journalists will wake up and realize that they can’t cover for the mistakes this unexperience, arrogant, ego-centric faux president will make. Then they will, if they want to keep any job at all, will go back to sensationalism and reporting on the man they failed to vet before they inflicted the entire nation with him.
There was an article in the Washington [com]Post today that claims while Bush was trying to kill terrorists, the videos the terrorists released were letting us know that it was because Bush was so hated that drove up their numbers. But in just six miraculous days (on the seventh day the Obamassiah rested) Obama, now the butt of their hateful words, has them worried and has gotten under their skin. The article is not only pandering at it’s worse, it is disgraceful and an insult to any rational thinking reader.
And while Obama list’s of blunder this week have been many, the AP claims he has not made any divisive stands. No mention of the following list:
pissed off Pakistan
ordered Gitmo close
pissed off the 9-11 families
informed the terrorists than anything they need to know about our interrogation techniques can be found in the U.S. Army manuel
committed taxpayer dollars to reducing the population of foreign nations through abortion
pissed off the Vatican
stared down a Politico reporter
informed Republicans they have no place at the table because he “won”
and
took a slam at a talk show host with no legislative authority
Not bad for a guy who made no divisive moves.
Now is the time for the conservative bloggers to pick up where the media left off. It is the time for the Republican Party to realize that we are in the 21st century and the Dems have it all over us in technology as well as a willing media in their hip pocket. It will take the loss of a few newpapers such as the Grey Lady for the media to wake up and realize that reporters are becoming as in demand as buggy whip makers or beaver top-hat companies.
Can we do it?
