I have found out from a senior intel source that within hours of the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others at the hands of terrorists, President Obama was briefed on the situation and had full knowledge that it was in fact a suspected terrorist attack. We know that according to a report from Fox that the President was briefed 90 minutes after the attack began but that he had “gone to bed” without knowing the status of the ambassador.
This always struck me as strange. I mean how could the President of the United States literally “sleep on it” when the status of one of his chief employees was unknown. But now in light of what I’ve learned – that Stevens and the others were in fact involved in an convert operation to attempt to recover weapons – originally given to rebels but which had slipped into terrorists hands, it makes much more sense now.
The fact is that night the Stevens and the rest were there to set up an exchange for weapons when the attack began. The president and his staff were in fact awaiting the result of the mission when everything went south.
“President Obama was briefed on the situation almost immediately, within hours. There were two others in the room at the time, one being DNI Chief James Clapper, along with other aides.” Asked whether the assessment was clear that the attack was an organized effort, he answered in the affirmative. Addtionally the President was well aware of the status of Stevens and the others, “We had information almost immediately relayed to us immediately that they had been killed in the attack.”

1Mac, one question I want answered; where did the weapons that Stevens was to cut a deal for come from?
Was this massive coverup on the part of the Administration to try to prevent Libya from turning into Fast and Furious, Middle Eastern Style?
