I’m hearing rumors – rumors only – that the White House will “leak” President Obama’s speech that he will give to congress on Thursday night.   Again this is only a rumor, but makes sense.  Since the White House flubed the effect of the speech by trying to have it on the same night as the GOP debate, they may want to test the waters with a draft on Labor day when not many people are paying attention but media types are.  Because his reelection chances are hanging – literally – on knocking it out of the park, leaking a draft would allow them to get early criticism addressed and tuned.

You’ll remember that his SOTU speech was leaked in January as well.
