Sarah Palin will run for President and will make the announcement sooner than later. Until that we have to put up with this crap.

“The audience at the Iowa Tea Party of America rally on Saturday chanted “Run Sarah, Run!” but former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin still won’t say if she will be a candidate for president.

Palin instead unleashed an attack on “corporate crony capitalism” which she says has flourished under President Obama. She raised asked the audience to question the current GOP presidential candidates about their donors and what they expect in return for election.

The former governor never mentioned specific Republicans by name, but she touted what she said was her successful battle against Big Oil in Alaska. This implicitly sets up a contrast with front-runner Gov. Rick Perry (R-Texas), a major advocate for his home state’s petroleum industry.

“You must vet a candidate’s record,” she urged supporters.

Nonetheless, Palin cried out “drill here, drill now,” at the rally, hardly an attack on the oil industry.

Palin also had a dig against Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who chose her as his vice presidential running mate in 2008. She noted that someone had called Tea Party members hobbits during the debt ceiling debate.

“Hobbits … couldn’t understand that one!” Palin said to cheers. She argued that if the Tea Party and its massive cuts-only approach to the deficit had been listened to, Standard and Poor’s would not have “humiliated” the U.S. by downgrading the rating on U.S. treasuries from AAA to AA+. She said the debt ceiling deal had “Enron-like accounting gimmicks” in it that pushed spending cuts into the out years.”

Of course Sarah Palin burps and it’s a headline story to the MSM. She is the candidate that draws the most excitement and in spite of spurious polling she has about the same approval numbers as Barack Obama.

Right now we have a weak field, although Perry has brought strength to it, it’s still lacking and a Palin run would provide exactly the kind of spark we need. With Palin in the mix the dynamics will dramatically change and it will push all the also rans to the sidelines all that much quicker.

Why am I so sure? Simply because she’s the most vetted candidate out there besides Romney. Romney has no chance at winning the nomination as we’ve seen him sink to a distant 2nd after Perry entered the race. That means if Palin runs there’s not much the media or it’s left wing contacts can come up with that hasn’t already been debunked and discredited or that ended up being anything in the first place.

Sarah Palin has everything to gain and nothing to lose by running. Look for her to announce soon.
