As many of you I too watched the debate last night and thought the candidates, the one’s that have a chance of winning did well enough. Some are saying that Perry didn’t do well and perhaps is looking more like Fred Thompson than George Bush. I would agree on the former, to a degree. Watching him it’s true he needs to polish things up a bit, but let’s not forget that Romney has had three years to tune up this dance.
Bachmann – as much as I like her – isn’t getting any more traction than what you’ve seen so far. Continued gaffes such as the one she made on Greta last night where she – I might add – repeated what a supporter told her after the debate. Can’t fault her for that. Of course the media is saying that she made the claim herself, that’s false, but what else is new.
The fact remains is that we are more at danger of over debating with the GOP. In all these debates nothing substantiative is really being said that is going to appear to Independent Americans that will decide 2012. To be honest I’m not real impressed with the choices so far. Of the big three Romney sound’s overly defensive, Perry sounds ill prepared and Bachmann is coming off as a sore loser since Perry began creaming her in the polls. Not good. But again we are far too early in the process to really know just who of these three will come out on top.
