How many times do we return to the fact that Obama wasn’t qualified or experience to become the President of the United States. Oh, about a gazillion times. He had never done a budget – unless it was at the kitchen table with Michelle, and even then I’ll be he sucked at it. He has never formed a budget while in public service and has yet to produce a budget as President of the United States. He has however raised our debt four-fold over what it was prior to him taking office and seems stuck on stupid – and tone deaf – about getting a handle on spending now.
So what’s a kid to do? Throw a fit.
“President Obama unleashed a tirade of frustration, anger and disappointment toward Republicans Friday after House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) announced he was withdrawing from negotiations with White House.
The president, in possibly his most emotional and stern appearance to date, said in no uncertain terms that he is summoning congressional leaders to the White House on Saturday morning.
“I want them here at 11 o’clock tomorrow,” Obama said. “We have run out of time, and they are going to have to explain to me how it is we are going to default.”
Whatever. First the media and leftstream bloggers have been touting polls showing that Americans want a deal and that somehow looks bad for Republicans. The fact is that yes, Americans want a deal but NO they don’t want more spending and definitely no new or increased taxes.
November of 2010 was a clear resounding statement from America that they want spending under control and this country to get out of debt, not increase it. Obama doesn’t get it. Democrats don’t get it, and the minority progressives in the country – who desire increased debt in order to crash capitalism – don’t get it.
Obama’s poll numbers are in the toilet. Figure without the ridiculously loyal black support his numbers would be in the 30s at best, it’s hardly possible that America is on his side. They see him for what he is, an inexperienced – over his head – light weight who’s losing it.
Boehner and the GOP are showing leadership in refusing to give Obama what Americans don’t want and in the end the GOP will be able to stand tall.
By the way, if Obama tries the end around – as the Ny Times suggests -and illegally raises the debt limit on his own, I say the “I’ word is on the table.
