You know how you remember certain songs and how they had a profound effect on your life? Gerry Rafferty was that kind of artist and Baker Street was that kind of song. I first heard it in 1978 during a tour in Korea. It was at a time of profound change in my life (recent divorce), and it helped me get through the long cold nights (along with some Johnny Walker Red!).
Rafferty died today after a long illness, RIP.
