Bias in law enforcement is the unforgivable sin in investigation 101. Sheriff Clarence Dupnik showed over the weekend that he has a decided bias against the right, blaming the shooting of Rep. Giffords and 9 others on “vitriol” he claims comes from the right.
But he has absolutely no evidence that is the case.
Yesterday Megyn Kelly confronted Dupnik and exposed him for the political hack he is.
No investigator can get to the facts of case with such bias. No investigator charged with obtaining only the facts can begin his investigation from the basis of his own prejudice. In fact Sheriff Dupnik has jeopardized the prosecution of Jared Loughner by suggesting that he was motivated by “rightwing vitriol” thus handing the defense a “Twinkie Defense” that may help him avoid the fullest extent of the law.
Sheriff Dupnik should resign immediately from the case.

1When Megyn Kelly asked Sheriff Dupnik if he had any evidence that would support his theory (right wing rhetoric) of why the shooter did what he did, he said (and I’m paraphrasing here) “No, not yet.”
Not YET? What the hell does that mean? And since this man is so over the top (seeking fame as a left wing radical instead of doing the job he was elected to do) can we really trust him to conduct a honest investigation? Can we expect the Feds to keep an eye on him since the Feds are now controlled by an extremest left wing administration?
Sheriff Dupnik should not resign, Mac, he should be removed from the investigation immediately and not allowed to go anywhere near the investigation.
