Since entering the political scene in 2008 Sarah Palin has been portrayed by the media as a pariah that has no chance at becoming President in 2012. It’s been something to watch liberals tear into Sarah for things like being a woman that can balance home and work, succeed in a “man’s world”, fully liberated, independent and smart. In fact everything that liberals claim they love and support they’ve totally thrown any credibility after ripping into Sarah simply because she’s on the other end of the political spectrum.
Yet while she’s been ripped up, lied about, lampooned, she’s still here, still strong, and still one of the most influential people in America. In essence the “assassination attempt” has been by and large a failure.
Yeah, I know she’s not polling well among the “vast” American audience. But then that’s only among polling funded by the same leftwing media that slobbers over perhaps the worst president in history – Barack Obama.
I’ve said before that there is a reason the media has teed off on Palin and it’s simply because they know for a fact she could run for President and even more win. Otherwise they wouldn’t have spent hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars running stories, polls, hit pieces, and outright fabrications trying to derail any run at all. The media is constantly running these stories/polls as if to say, “We dare you to run Sarah, we’ll slaughter you if you do!”
For any other candidate the among of hogwash would be devastating, but Sarah Palin marches on.
But again so far that hasn’t happened. Polling for potential candidates at this point is quite worthless. The American public doesn’t remotely pay attention to these things politically until after Iowa and the rest of the caucuses. By that time who knows. Even with the most egregious of slanted polling Palin is still within striking distance of other candidates for the GOP nomination and indeed outrunning others such as Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee.
Real Clear Politics is even in the act touting liberal run CNN/Opinion dynamics poll calling them “gloomy”. Of course the poll is heavily overweighted democrat as is usual with Opinion Dynamics.
Nevertheless it’s a mistake to underestimate Palin, but I welcome the continued effort by the liberal media. It will be fun watching them commit hari-kari come November of 2012.

1Mac, the simple matter is that some Americans have been programmed to believe “Hey, he graduated from tony (X) university up on the East Coast, he must be smarter than me and can run the country better.” They ignore that this nation was built, not by those with fancy degrees, but people with plain old common sense. Can we deny that there was anyone, during his time, that was more brilliant that Ben Franklin, yet he had no “formal” education?
Americans can relate to Sarah Palin. She is like the rest of us. She drives the feminazis nuts because she is the true feminist. She has a mind of her own, can juggle job, family with one hand tied behind her back. But she doesn’t accept the two things that the feminist movement has been reduced to; abortion and free love. So they attack her.
The left can’t take it that she is like our neighbors next door. My God, someone who would be standing at your door with a casserole if you had a death in your family wants to be president? How dare she. She is a “commoner”, state university educated, middle class family, no colorful siblings living in metal sheds on $10/month in Africa. Where is the American success story there? Hell, millions of Americans have done the same thing.
That, my friend, is their problem. She is like us. Not like them with their air of superiority because of the diploma hanging on their wall. She makes sense and doesn’t talk in sentences that requires a literary professor to explain. So they tried to destroy her. Damage her family. Make her out to be the court jester. And still, hit after hit, she prevails.
No, don’t count her out. And while she may not throw her hat in the ring in 2012, she will be a power behind anyone who does that shares her same “true” American values.
But hey, I want the left to continue to underestimate her. They believed she would fade black after the primaries. She didn’t. They thought they could spin lies about her and she would whither away. She didn’t. They thought they could ruin her financially with law suit after law suit. They didn’t, and she won those suits.
I hope those that would employ the tactic of personal destruction against Sarah Palin continue to underestimate her.
