Being that Klein is a govenment official there are laws in Florida which he has now violated. The devulgence of a SSN is a misdemeanor, and may escalate depending on how the Klein camp obtained the number. Broward County Public Records have not had listed SSNs for public records for over 2 years now.

“Now this doofus liberal, Representative Rob Klein, crossed the line. When democrats attack, the go for the personal and the vicious. In an attack on Allen West’s financial past, Klein published Allen West’s 2005 tax lien of $11,081 and court orders to pay credit card bills. However, these were liquidated by West and resolved. (I wonder if Karl Rove will have a problem with that.)

However, democrats don’t let facts get in the way nor decency.

During his attempt to lambaste West, the ad that includes West’s 2005 tax lien, also shows West’s nine-digit Social Security number.

West in an e-mail claims he may seek legal action against Klein:

“[This is] an unprecedented new low in American politics… I understand politics is a tough business. I expect to be challenged about my ideas, my beliefs. But Ron Klein has clearly crossed a line. Our lawyers are reviewing what legal action is available to my family.”

At the least this is an ethics complaint against Klein which should be filed tomorrow. Additionally West should use this to his advantage. “If Klein reveals sensitive personal information who can trust with with secrets of the Government?” Something along that line.

By the way since Klein wants to use a tax lien as a standard of judgement against West, perhaps he should explain his the judgement received against him for unpaid medical bills in the amount of $3,720.01, along with a final judgement in the amount of $8,053.55, among others in his name.
