All right it’s over, now it’s time for the GOP to get behind the clear winner.
“Tea party-backed Christine O’Donnell has defeated U.S. Rep. Mike Castle in Delaware’s Republican primary for the U.S. Senate.
The voted ended a 40-year run of election victories for Castle, thrown off track by a flash of conservative voter anger
In unofficial returns, with 100 percent of the vote reported, O’Donnell has 53.1 percent of the votes tallied; Castle has 46.9 percent.
O’Donnell won all districts south of New Castle, according to a News Journal analysis of the results.
She will face Democrat Chris Coons in the November election.”
All this talk now of the GOP giving her half-hearted support had better damn well change now unless they prefer to see a backlash the likes that could be never imagined. We fully expect our funding of the GOP to support O’Donnell – got it? If you miss it, you can simply kiss your asses goodbye.
There is a revolution happening. Either get with the people, ride the wave to true conservatism or get out.
Michaele Steele that means you!
UPDATE: K-Lo at NRO has the right attitude.
“People will focus on O’Donnell for obvious reasons. But I think the real story, and the point Rush and others were getting at is: The results tonight in Delaware are about Mike Castle. He had an R. after his name, but he might as well have been a Democrat. Voters want authenticity. That’s why Murkowski lost. That’s why Castle lost. “
Again, get with the program.
UPDATE: Don’t buy that this is GOP nightmare. That’s the Democrats talking point. It’s not true. If it were they wouldn’t give O’Donnell the time of day.
