Ok, so according the AP bosses, publishing photos and accounts of a Koran burning would violate their “principles” of decency.
“AP policy is not to provide coverage of events that are gratuitously manufactured to provoke and offend. In the past, AP has declined to provide images of cartoons mocking Islam and Jews. AP has often declined to provide images, audio or detailed descriptions of particularly bloody or grisly scenes, such as the sounds and moments of beheadings and shootings, displays of severed heads on pikes and images of hostages who are displayed by hostage-holders in an effort to intimidate their adversaries and advance their cause. “
Ok. So now on the eve of what Wikileak’s is calling the “the biggest leak of military intelligence that has ever occurred“, which is being done by Wikileaks purely to “provoke and offend” and I might add, endanger our troops and other defense personnel fighting terrorism, will they likewise stand down and refuse to print the documents?
Will other media outlets that refused to cover the Koran burning do the same? Will they give the same media backing to General Patraeus, Obama, and other administration officials who have voiced concern over the release of these classified documents as they did when they voiced the same concern over the burning of a Koran?
