Just for the record I don’t make squat on this blog from any political party and I don’t live in Philadelphia.

Macsmind was launched in June of 2003, one of the first of now thousands of political blogs. I’ve received hundreds of emails over the years, especially during election season asking to post some press release, but it’s my policy only to do so for events with a cause, such as Tea Party events, Stop the Mosque, etc.

Not that I couldn’t use the money but I don’t believe this or any blog should be involved in “payola”. However if that’s your bag then have at it. Campaigns have hired bloggers and remember it was the left which made this an art. Many of the most trafficked sites on the left are in fact supported in part by different special interest groups. Media Matters is one such blog, funded in some many shadow ways that it’s difficult to keep up with. See more here.

Which is why no one other than those on the left take it seriously. My point is that taking payola – taints the view.
