“Kendrick Meek has won the Florida Democratic primary election.

With 39 percent of precincts reporting, Mr. Meek received 55 percent of the vote. His main opponent, Jeff Greene, received 33 percent.

As expected, Republican Marco Rubio won the Florida GOP primary. Mr. Rubio, with 39 percent reporting, held 85 percent of the vote.

In the race for governor, Democrat Alex Sink has won his party’s nomination. Mr. Sink received 78 percent of the vote with 37 percent reporting.

The GOP race for governor remains undecided. With 38 percent reporting Republican Rick Scott leads Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum 47 percent to 43.7 percent.”

The best news of the night, Kendrick Meeks will be the Democrat candidate. He’s completely beatable, especially by Rubio, much more than a Greene would have been. The results are more interesting in Scott vs. McCollum vs. Democrat Sink. Scott is the Tea Party candidate and it looks like he’s on a way to win but it’s too early. Let’s hope so. Scott beats Sink, where McCollum polls lower.

UPDATE: The Obama Apologetic writes the media spin for tomorrow, “insurgents sag”. “Insurgents?”

UPDATE: Watching Marco Rubio on Hannity, Meeks will have his hands full. Simply put he can’t compete with him.

UPDATE: I’m going out on the limb. With panhandle results coming in it looks like Scott with about a 3 point lead, about 40,000 votes. I’m calling it for Scott.

UPDATE: Media is trying to spin that a Scott win is good for Sink. Show me the poll that says that? It’s not there.

UPDATE: AP calls it for Scott, MSNBC and others follow.

UPDATE: Proud of Allen West here. Clearly the best conservative candidate we have in Florida and in the Country. I interviewed him on the MacRanger Show back in 2008. Stellar man. He’ll face Ron Klein in November. Click on the Allen West link on the side to show your support.
