Expected. Full-on Sherrod stories on C-BS, NBC, ABC, CNN, etc. What you would expect. Was she “snookered” by the evil Fox News (which didn’t report anything until after she was fired), a victim of a rush to judgement?
Again, reviewing the tape it’s clear there was context to her statements, nevertheless that didn’t clear her statements or take away the racist nature of them. Trent Lott was fired for much less and liberals have further crucified other conservatives for lesser. Let’s not forget that the NAACP and the media have yet to apologize to the Tea Party for continuing the false story of Tea Party member calling black members of congress the “N” word.
This is again the specter of the double standard. Just as Robert Byrd was given a soaring send off by the liberal media conveniently glossing over his KKK involvement and filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, or even Obama’s own connections with Rev. Wright, there seems to be this standard of comparison.
The USDA will more than likely reinstate Sherrod and perhaps in light of the evidence for which she was fired they should, but there are far greater questions that need to be explored. The link mentioned before over at The Examiner is a good start.
One thing that should come out, although I wouldn’t hold my breath, would be the next time that the NAACP or the media jump to calling any conservative or anyone “Racist” they had better get the entire story first. Just as they did when they slandered the Tea Party calling it racist.
Perhaps it’s more of an example of “glass houses” than we first believed.
Like it or not they’ve now set that standard of proof.
UPDATE: Found this on Youtube referrencing the NAACP’s condemnation of the Tea Party.
UPDATE: Interesting point by Brietbart referencing the crowd response to Sherrod:
“They weren’t cheering redemption; they were cheering discrimination. Upon hearing the cheers, Sherrod fails to offer any immediate clarification and even smiles right along with them.”
