It’s a real simple question. Lefties want it to go away, “Nothing to see here move on“. Of course if this were Alberto Gonzales the same would be hyperventilating about “Watergate II”, and much of that “McBushy-Chimp-Hitler-Rove-Libby-Cheney-Haliburton” stuff we heard for eight years.
But it is again a simple question, just what happened?
Finally the Washington Post joins the rest of the media in asking that same question:
“Coverage is justified because it’s a controversy that screams for clarity that The Post should provide. If Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and his department are not colorblind in enforcing civil rights laws, they should be nailed. If the Commission on Civil Rights’ investigation is purely partisan, that should be revealed. If Adams is pursuing a right-wing agenda, he should be exposed.
National Editor Kevin Merida, who termed the controversy “significant,” said he wished The Post had written about it sooner. The delay was a result of limited staffing and a heavy volume of other news on the Justice Department beat, he said.
Better late than never. There’s plenty left to explore.”
At this point the only option is the appointment of a Special Prosecutor or at the least congressional hearings. Now before you say “fat chance” with democrats in charge think again. With the midterms coming up and dems about to get creamed the last thing they will want will be to have the specter of voter intimidation over their heads. Yet on the other hand it depends how far up the interference came from.
Additionally it makes no difference if conservatives on the commission were seeking to “bring the Obama administration down” or not. If there was wrong doing and we still have evidence there was – then the administration should be brought to account. Remember the left and the MSM spent the better part of eight years with such a motivation going after the Bush administration.
One thing is for sure. It’s not over yet.
