Yesterday’s primaries produced the expected results with Specter getting the boot and Republicans winning in Ark and Ken. Disappointing results in a GOP failure to pick up Murtha’s seat, but pundits talking about how the GOP “failed” to get the win haven’t a clue what they are talking about. While his district could be described as “conservative”, they loved the pork that Murtha brought them over the years and Murtha’s aide Critz is sure to deliver more of that.

Nevertheless combining this with the wins earlier this year in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia, it’s simply absurd to say this isn’t a harbinger of a grand old November for the GOP.
