analysisRemember that after the 2006 and 2008 elections how lefties branded the GOP “Irrelevant”. Well even some of our own thought so. But after historic victories in New Jersey and Massachusetts – come on Ted Kennedy’s seat – that can’t be said anymore. Now it’s Democrats who people are talking about being irrelevant. A view at Memeorandum this morning shows the liberal nashing of teeth, and even now they are still hoping to get that God awful, unconstitutional, and yes, anti-American healthcare bill passed. It’s not going to happen.

Despite what left wing blogs are wishing for, Obamacare is dead. Barney Frank can flip back and forth all he wants, but the fact is that all Senate Democrats woke up this morning thinking, “It could be me next”.

This election WAS a complete and utter repudiation of Obama’s healthcare policy in Massachusetts, and indeed around the country. America is sick and tired of government spending, secrecy, and having Barack Obama tell them to “suck it up”. If Dems try to force Obamacare through they’re done – end of story. 2010 and 2012 will be a blood bath at the polls for them and they won’t recover for years.

Liberals, especially the progressive wing can’t understand this. They thought that 2008 was about America coming to their side, an “awakening” if you will. It was nothing of the kind. It was about a good looking young guy with star appeal running against a cranky old fart. Hell, George Clooney could have beat John McCain – he ran a miserable campaign and gave America nothing to choose except not to vote for the other guy.

But Barack Obama winning the election turned out to be the best thing that has happened to conservatism in a long, long time. Because America got to see what real leftwing ideology is all about in all it’s socialist glory and having seen it for the last year is now saying, “No thanks”.

It was a huge day of “change” on Tuesday. It’s not going to be business as usual from here on out. America is speaking out.
