Observers pointing to record turnout in areas favorable to Scott Brown and lukewarm turnout in areas for Martha Coakley. One pronosticator is predicting a 5-6 point win based on the turnout.
“This is a blowout….no doubt about it”.
Meanwhile, Senate Democracts like Dick (Nazi) Durbin, who thinks they’ll just ram the Obamacare bill through using reconciliation might have another thing coming if Brown wins. For instance Joe Lieberman:
“Well, it’s pretty clear that, if Scott Brown doesn’t win, it’s certainly going to be close, and that in itself is newsworthy,” Lieberman said. “And I think the message is — from the voters of Massachusetts — that people are anxious about the future and they’re unhappy about what’s happening in Washington.”
“They’re anxious about the economy, the continued high unemployment,” he continued. “They don’t like all the partisanship and deal-making here in Washington. And they’re really skeptical about this health care bill.”
Lieberman is telegraphing what other Senate Democrats are thinking. That is if Brown wins and wins by that 5-6 or even more points there might not be 51 votes to clear majority. That would leave it to the house to pass the present Senate bill – which isn’t happening either no matter what Pelosi said.
In short, if Brown wins, Obamacare is DOA, end of story.
It’s a great day for America!
