obamacare10Well at least they’re showing their true colors.

“Now that both the House and Senate have passed health care reform bills, all Democrats have to do is work out a compromise between the two versions. And it appears they’re not about to let the Republicans gum up the works again.

According to a pair of senior Capitol Hill staffers, one from each chamber, House and Senate Democrats are “almost certain” to negotiate informally rather than convene a formal conference committee. Doing so would allow Democrats to avoid a series of procedural steps–not least among them, a series of special motions in the Senate, each requiring a vote with full debate–that Republicans could use to stall deliberations, just as they did in November and December.

“There will almost certainly be full negotiations but no formal conference,” the House staffer says. “There are too many procedural hurdles to go the formal conference route in the Senate.”

They’ll pass this mess and get shelled in in the 2010 midterms and quite possibly beyond. Rasumussen has more than 52 percent of the American public not supporting this bill and Americans are particularly annoyed when they’re told “tough”.

Good news is that when the GOP gains control in 2010 – yes I see that happening – it will spell the beginning of the end of Obamacare. In fact the GOP should run on it, “End the Socialization of America”. Think it’s crazy? Go ahead and stop some Americans on the street and see what they think.

Point is that there will be plenty of time and muscle after 2012 – yes Obama will be a one-termer – to reverse this mess and 52 percent of the American public is already behind it.
