It is beyond my comprehension why anyone, and I do mean anyone, would read one word written by Andrew Sullivan. He is hardly representative of America, much less middle America. Perhaps Sullivan is just really living in the past and wants to give a little payback for Valley Forge.

Since Friday, I have read the vitriol and hate spewing about Governor Palin, not only from the left, but the self proclaimed right, as well. And the only thing I now know for certain, is that these people are of the view that the nation is really small, and all opinions of value can only be found within the NYC-DC beltway.

I wonder how long it has been, if ever, that pundits like Sullivan, Fred Barnes, et al, have sat in a small town diner and spoke with the very spine of this nation. The [ugh] common folk that makes this nation function on a daily basis. Why do I get the feeling that they would think themselves above saying so much as "hello" to the guy from the local telephone company who came to fix the line to their fax machine?

Sarah Palin is a threat. To the socialist left and the elitist right. She doesn't sound like them; she doesn't have a sheepskin from a tony East Coast university; she made a choice in family that goes against the very core of the feminist movement (free love and abortion being the only choices the feminist movemment backs); she wears jeans with no designer label and she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty to feed her family. In other words, she is like millions of everday Americans whose sons and daughters, like them, have joined the ranks of those who "protect and defend" our Constutition.

Saturday, 37,000 people gathered at South Fork Ranch in Dallas to protest the actions of our elected representatives. They were Democrats, Republicans and Independents. They were rich and poor, black and white and brown. But they were all Americans who are fed up.

But there has been scant reporting on the Americans who, on July 4th, gathered all across our nation demanding a return to our Constitutional roots. You see, 20 people sitting in a ditch during the hot, dusty July days of Texas, is more important than thousands gathering in 103 degree temperatures to say "ENOUGH".

We have an uphill battle. The media will continue to tell us what to think and will push their soft tyranny on us for as long as they can. Obama is the culmination of their socialists dreams formed in journalism school, lo those many years ago, when they decided that only the brainiacs of the nation were qualified to determine our national fate. But they are wrong, and as Americans, an independent lot for sure, realize that their best interests are not being represented, the call to arms will be sounded.

Only this time, it will not be muskets in our hands. It will be our Constitution, and our voter registration cards.
