Jesus said, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown”, and this is no less the truth about Sarah Palin. The treatment she received from the left was and is expected, they have no honor. But the treatment she received from the Right, her own “country” was even less honorable and even more appalling.

Quite frankly, I never realized just how appalling and in many cases sexist those on the right can be until I saw their response to her stepping down yesterday.

Many of these are the same usual suspects who long ago sold their credibility for blog hits and face time on liberal media talking head shows, thus showing the depth of their character. Sarah’s stepping away wasn’t as much as receding from the onslaughts of the left, but of the betrayal of friends. Nothing stings more.

At the right time Palin will announce her intention to run for President of the United States in 2012, this in spite of the left who think they won the battle, and of those on the right who are selling her out for a few pieces of silver.

It’s time for those who believe as I do to realize that there are wolves among the sheep and the only way to be rid of them is not to support or become a party to their betrayal.
