Get really for the Democrats to try to change history.
“The blue-ribbon panel is a much-maligned Washington cliché — it is said that you appoint one when you don’t really want anything to be done.
But sometimes, as with the 9/11 Commission, such bodies actually produce substantive results.
And that’s the intent behind a congressional vote Wednesday that is expected to create an investigative commission to examine the financial crisis. If the new panel is formed and is successful, the public may get a definitive account of who is to blame for the meltdown that has crippled the American economy.
The commission will be composed of 10 members appointed by the majority and minority leaders of the House and the Senate, as well as the chairmen and ranking members of the Senate Banking and House Financial Services committees. No sitting member of Congress will be allowed on the panel, which is expected to last through early 2011.”
Yeah, just after the 2010 midterms.
There is no need for a panel, we know for a fact that this began with the sub-prime mess which Democrats cooked up to look good to their poor voters. We know for a fact that Barney Frank tried with all his might to keep the problem secret all while it coming down around our heads.
Here’s all you need to know.
