Back in the 90s I used to have these wonderful debates with atheists over faith in God. Not to brag, but I always came out on the winning side of the debate, not so much because I converted them, but because I exposed the fallacy of their argument.
Atheists claim that faith is illogical because you can’t prove what it’s based on. Yet that argument could be used in the same way for invalidating a 1000 or more items of secular belief, such as evolution, or origin of species. Not one evolutionist was there to witness the changes that they say took place, so in accordance with their own rules of engagement their thesis simply cannot be proven.
But I digress. The real reason atheism falls on it’s face is that it’s adherents actually exclude themselves by making their unbelief a “faith” of sorts, if only it’s a faith in themselves.
Charlotte Allen says they’re also quite boring.
