You know it’s been, what – three months – since Obama won the election, and Democrats increased their control in congress, and we’ve been hearing the same old tired assed “Conservatism is dead”, “Conservatism must change”, “Capitalism is dead”,….blah, blah…

Most of this is coming from the liberal media and the moonbat blogs, and it got me to thinking. If things for us conservatives were really all that bad, why would they bother reminding us?

No where was this more apparent than after Rush Limbaugh’s speech at CPAC yesterday. Perusing Memeorandum the usual suspects at the Huffington Puffington Post’s take “Double Downs on Wanting Obama to Fail“, which I find so hypocritical it’s ridiculous. As if Sam Stein was rooting for George W. Bush to succeed for all these years.

Raum (the punk) Emanuel calls Rush the “GOP’s Brain”. Who’s the Democrat’s, Keith Olbermann?

The point is that we must be hitting a nerve by refusing to “modify” our core conservative beliefs at the behest of liberals. Otherwise why would they bother telling us that we must change to be successful? There would be absolutely no point. You don’t tell your enemy how to fight better and harder, you take him out while you can.

We will do no such thing of course, and we hope that fact makes them continue to blow gaskets. We only need to recapture and reaffirm the core conservative beliefs that made our party the victor of five of the last eight presidential elections, and in power of congress for most of the last 15 years.

Rush said all we need is the right candidate. He’s right. We need a candidate that not only can communicate core conservatism, but believes it and lives it. Yes we need another Ronald Reagan, and we have such candidates right now waiting in the wings.

Be afraid liberals, you’re time is short.

For your Sunday night enjoyment, and to stick the truth right into the eye of liberals. Ronald Reagan’s 1964 speech at the Republican National Convention.
