Plans have been drawn up for three years now. In fact John Bolton believed it would have been before now. Likely it would have, but just needed the right man to carry them out.
“In an interview conducted shortly before he was sworn in today as prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu laid down a challenge for Barack Obama. The American president, he said, must stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons—and quickly—or an imperiled Israel may be forced to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities itself.
“The Obama presidency has two great missions: fixing the economy, and preventing Iran from gaining nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu told me. He said the Iranian nuclear challenge represents a “hinge of history” and added that “Western civilization” will have failed if Iran is allowed to develop nuclear weapons.
In unusually blunt language, Netanyahu said of the Iranian leadership, “You don’t want a messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs. When the wide-eyed believer gets hold of the reins of power and the weapons of mass death, then the entire world should start worrying, and that is what is happening in Iran.”
This of course is going to present Obama with a problem. 1) He’s not – no matter what he has said – on the side of Israel – no on on the left is, and he’s unlikely to respond positively. Netanyahu knows this – thus isn’t a warning, it’s a heads up.
2) Israel will more than likely give Obama one chance to show resolve or plans to stop Iran will go into action, most likely by late summer. US Intel sources make it more towards the end of the year.
Everything will depend on when Iran produces enough highly enriched uranium to develop a nuke. Iran is close to this point now.
Iran is purchasing a SA-20 (S-300PMU-2) air defense system from Russia, which our intelligence thinks took place this fall.
It appears that the test that Joe Biden spoke of is just around the corner.

1You can bet that Netanyahu is not as impressed with Obama as Obama is. And Netanyahu is going to do everything in his power to protect Israel, as he should. He knows the UN (a pet of Obama) is stacked against him so he will get no help from the UN. Netanyahu is also not going to let Hamas and Hezbollah get away with the crap they have been pulling and will quickly tell the UN to get, well, you know.
Obama, meet the man that truely believes in protecting his nation and his citizens. You could learn a lot from him.
