“Over the past few weeks, the White House has been casting right-wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh as the head of the Republican Party, and based on a new CBS News poll, it appears they may be onto something: According to the poll, Limbaugh’s favorable rating stands at just 19 percent, a full 43 points lower than President Obama’s.
Limbaugh’s unfavorable rating, meanwhile, stands at 40 percent, while 41 percent say they don’t know or don’t have an opinion. Not surprisingly, the conservative commentator, who has said he hopes that the president’s economic policies fail, is far more popular with Republicans – 47 percent view him favorably – than with Democrats, just seven percent of whom view him favorably.”
Of course the dumb-asses at CBS simply miss that “poll numbers” are not ratings, and Rush has a larger listening audience than any show CBS puts on the air in a given weak. So how about we run a poll about C-BS?
Oh yeah, Katie Couric is still last in the nightly ratings, drawing about a third of Limbaugh’s audience across demographics. Oh yeah, and it it’s the same 2-1 Democrat/Independent sample that C-BS is famous for.
By the way, this is something to really report on. Today 57% of the survey believe we are on the wrong track vs. 35% who think it’s on the right track. The brain trusts who ran this poll think this is “good news”, yet it’s the same rating that CBS called bad back in 2005 when Bush had the same numbers.
Additionally Limbaugh has a higher rating than Pelosi (h/t Newsbusters).
Note to C-BS – work on Katie, get those numbers up and then you can talk.
