As I’ve said on many occasions Obama must fail because the future of America – as it was founded – depends on that fact. The current retort to this, “You mean you want the economy to fail, and people to lose their jobs, and houses to be taken, and the collapse of our banking system?”

I would suggest that is already happening and doing so precisely because of liberal policies before Obama and now under his first 50 days in office. Let’s remember the sub-prime mess is a liberal invention, hatched during the Clinton administration and kept alive in spite of warnings by liberals such as Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer and others.

This of course is what Rush was talking about and what we should be talking about. There is no such thing as “bi-partisanship”, liberal with conservatives, than there is with dark and light, hell and heaven.

The fact of the matter is that this is – and always has been – a conservative nation. It was founded on purely conservative principals. Just to review, here’s a quote from Thomas Jefferson that flies in the face of Obama’s present policies.

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

Of course Obama plans to redistribute wealth by taxing the wealthy – those who who have been willing to work hard – and give it to those who do not. Nothing is more a threat to the the constitutional rule of government than that.

“A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned – this is the sum of good government.”

As Reagan said in so many words that the solution to America’s problems – created by an over-reaching government – is through the people. When the people are free – loosed from government bonds and regulations – to pursue their own industry and improvement (happiness) America thrives.

This again is opposite of Obama’s policies where he – not the people – is the creator of government programs designed to make people happy. According to most recent polls that happiness fading quickly.

There are many more quotes from our founders here. Each is diametrically opposed to the plans Obama has for America, and provide us the greatest reason for wishing Obama’s policies fail, and his term to be a matter of one.

To that end I and other conservatives will endeavor.
