You can tell that Bush is gone because the media is back to praising Obama and FEMA for a non-response.
“EDDYVILLE, Ky. – In the first real test of the Obama administration’s ability to respond to a disaster, Kentucky officials are giving the federal government good marks for its response to a deadly ice storm.
Yet more than 300,000 residents remained without power Monday and some areas had yet to see aid workers nearly a week after the storm, a fact not lost on some local authorities.
“We haven’t seen FEMA. They haven’t been here,” said Jaime Green, a spokeswoman for the emergency operations center in Lyon County, about 95 miles northwest of Nashville, Tenn.
Federal authorities insisted they responded as soon as the state asked for help and promised to keep providing whatever aid was necessary.”
Good marks?
Via the Anchoress:
“When a million people in flyover country are suffering, and 42 people have died, we don’t hear much about it. If this was New York, Washington, Boston, (or if the president had an R after his name) you’d see non-stop reports, and the press would be roundly criticizing FEMA’s absence, and the White House’s disregard. Right?”
Right.

1Are we beginning to see a patter here? First no FEMA help in Hopkins County and now no FEMA help in Lyons County? Take a look at those two counties:
Lyons County 91% white Voted McCain 58-41
Hopkins County 92% Voted McCain 62-37
Hopkins County has 49,000 residents and is reporting that 27,000 homes are still without power, heat or water.
If this were Bush, and those counties were black, well……….you know.
Where is Geraldo Rivera standing ass deep in ice demanding that President Obama help these people? Shepard Smith? Nope, not him either. And Obama has made no public statement about the worst natural disaster to ever hit Kentucky. Instead, he’s cranking up the heat in the Oval Office, eating $100 steaks and throwing Super Bowl parties.
My God, I sometimes think Obama could axe murder his own kid and the kneepad wearing, fawning media would praise his choice in the brand of axe he used.
