Mac, more than mindless clones marching into an auditorium to listen to Der Leader, I am brought to mind the mindless, cheering people of the Third Reich, holding babies up hoping the Furer will smile upon the child, the children being taught songs of Der Furer, the blind following of a man who promised to bring them greatness and glory.
And we know how it ended. The nation, Germany, was destroyed in order to destroy the leaders.
jackalope, if it is Sarah, there will be a whole lot of reporters who keep their jobs at failing papers (can’t call them NEWS papers anymore).
And Wasilla will become a boom town.
Think of it: Hyatt Wasilla, Hard Rock Cafe Wasilla, Olive Garden Wasilla.
Hell, with all the press money flowing into Alaska, drilling for oil will become it’s second revenue source, not the first.
