It’s becoming embarrassing.

But when it comes down to it, there are only two very loose commonalities. Both were Senators in Illinois, and they rode a train.

Outside of that Obama is a liberal Democrat, Lincoln a Republican. Obama’s democratic party is the party of slavery and of Jim Crow, both of which were ended by Republicans.

By the way, Lincoln would ride a train again four years later, not of his own choice. I supposed the media will leave that comparison alone.

UPDATE: My bad, Lincoln was never a Senator. He served as a US congressman. So strike one of the two commonalities.
