Obama Backpeddles
Like he said, “Hope and Change”. Feeling the heat from your uber left base what’s a brother to do.

“WASHINGTON (AP) — Advisers to President-elect Barack Obama say one of his first duties in office will be to order the closing of the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay.
That executive order is expected during Obama’s first week on the job — and possibly on his first day, according to two transition team advisers. Both spoke Monday on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
Obama’s order will direct his administration to figure out what to do with the estimated 250 al-Qaida and Taliban suspects and potential witnesses who are being held at Guantanamo.
It’s still unlikely the prison would be closed any time soon. Obama last weekend said it would be “a challenge” to close it even within the first 100 days of his administration.”
Yeah, what to do with those 250 terrorists. I mean who should host them. Their own countries don’t want them back. How about New York, or Chicago. I know, have them on Oprah and give their sad tale of being on the thumb of the Eeeeval Bush/Cheney Cabal? Let’s give them a shot on American Idol!
Truth is that this is simply to placate the “outright” from the uber left moonbats who called for his head after Obama told George Stuffanopolis that he didn’t expect to close Gitmo in the first 100 days.
Which means, ain’t gonna happen.

One thing we can count on is Obama’s ability to change his mind faster than the weather in Texas. Hot one day, cold the next.
Yesterday he is not going to close GITMO (all the p-op.roblems involved, ya know) and today he is, tommorrow, who the hell knows? Today he’s sucking up to the President of Mexico and tomorrow he will be saying something else in another pandering photo-op.
Well, at least we know one thing, we will have a president that doesn’t know one thing and his opinions will change as the pressure is applied. First from the uber left then from the right and the one’s in the middle will be left holding the bag.
My God, are we ever screwed.
Perhaps he could ask DOJ and Gates at DOD…….they have already thought about what to do, and have been thinking about it for at least a year. Or he can pretend that it is a new problem, redo all the thinking, waste months and then come to the conclusion that Bush left a problem that has no easy answer. The lefty’s will be happy that he is thinking about it.
